History

Isley Farm Supply started as a partnership between our owner Rusty and his longtime friend Tim who worked as a truck driver. An operation that now stores products in over 200 trailers and additional buildings, started kind of like a country song with a farmer, a trucker, and one trailer of pine needles. In January 2001, it was a weekend job for the pair of friends to make extra income, until eventually Rusty bought his friend’s share in the business and began the operation full-time.

Each year inventory has expanded such as the addition of wheat straw in 2003, animal feeds in 2011, and in 2015 a variety of dealer feeds. Rusty has enjoyed many positions in sales over the years with opportunities to sell in various industries. In fact, he started his sales career as a child by digging up worms to sell to fishermen on his family’s dairy farm.

Today, our company is one of the top feed stores in the State of North Carolina and region.

Not only do we have our own brand of cattle and chicken feeds, but we also proudly carry products from many companies including Cargill-Nutrena, Blue Seal, and Kalmbach. Continuing to serve the community and agricultural industry is one of Isley Farm Supply’s most valued contributions.

Presently, you can find us in our 12,000 square foot retail space on the site of the Alamance County Fairgrounds — and don’t worry, those storage trailers that helped us to get our start, they’re still around too.
